2019 marked an important step for FLO-2D Europe, strengthening ties with universities, research institutions, and industrial partners. Thanks to the collaboration with Prof. Fernando Nardi and IDRAN srl, workshops and seminars were launched to promote the use of the FLO-2D model in flood risk and environmental management. At the same time, the exchange with FLO-2D USA built a bridge of knowledge between Europe and the United States, creating new development opportunities.
These activities contributed to building a solid community of professionals and researchers, laying the groundwork for the exchange of experience and dissemination of best practices. 2019 was therefore the year of sowing, from which projects emerged that expanded the software’s international visibility.
